Dr. Hirendra Soni-Assistant Professor-Department of Operations
I am an Engineer, armed with a management degree from one of the prestigious management colleges of the country, JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai).
My corporate experience spans across IT, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Business Development domains. I started my career as programmer with Datamatics and was a part of the support team offering online production support to General Motors. This project gave me an opportunity to hone my understanding of IT as well as production processes.
I never give up while facing challenges and keep adapting and improving my skills. For my next assignment I donned hat of selling scientific research equipment’s. It involved B2B sales and gave a good exposure to tendering process.
My next stint was as an Assistant Manager, Marketing and was responsible for product launch of kid centric Disney branded consumer electronic products. While working with OEM consumer Electronic products manufacturer, I got opportunity of developing private label solutions for our esteemed customers.
As an Executive Assistant to the CEO, I got good exposure to the corporate affairs and was able to observe closely the functioning of different business verticals. This led to my interest in a business vertical dealing with activity based learning program development. I played a key role in the commercialisation and product development of this business vertical.
Since the last 12 years, I am a full time Faculty member, involved in training and development of the MBAs. My areas of interest are Operations and Business Analytics.
My strong hold on various programming languages including JAVA and expertise in Microsoft excel enables me in delivering Operations and Business Analytics subjects as per the latest industry requirements and in an experiential manner. I enjoy training people on the latest technologies like Python, R, Power BI, tableau and Google Data Studio.
